What temp does morphine break down?

I just made some PPT as seeing as I have an opiate tolerance I had to make a pretty big dose (25 pods). I actually made two doses for a total of 49 pods (all i had left)....anyway i filtered it and what not and now i have it on the burner trying to evaporate some of the water. I want to know how hot i can get it without killing the morphine so i can do this efficiently.

Also, anyone ever hear of putting wax in the tea to filter out some of the bad stuff? I read somewhere that you can add wax to it and alot of the fats stick to the wax and then you can just filter the wax out.

 

ya you can stir liquid paraffin wax in to filter all the fatty acids out, and when evapping I dont know the exact temperature, but dont boil it, a few bubbles is fine, but take it slow

 

word so i put some wax in let it melt and should i leave it in there for awhile? im thinking maybe put the wax in for a little bit, take it off the burner and cool it so the wax rehardens, filtering it, and then going back for more evaporating. or should i just leave the wax in til im done evaporating? im not evaporating all the way just to reduce some liquid

The temp Ive heard is 80 c, which is like 180 f. keep it on a low simmer, and you should be fine. I evaporated my opium yesterday, and I kept the temp below 50 c (using a meat thermometer, dont know how accurate it is) It doesnt take very long, a couple hours for like two or three grams of opium.

 

ok heres how you defat, at least the basic technique, google can give u more details, while your tea solution is still hot you poor melted wax into it and stir, you keep stirring while ur tea is on the heat and then strain when it is solid. repeat with new wax and your set

ive smoked morphine before so i wouldnt think it breaks down at too low a temperature
