why are you a vegetarian

    I'm an vegetarian because:
    1. It's more healthier
    2. it does not harm the environment as much as growing plants
    3. it saves animals lives
    ,... there are other reasons as well but this 3 are the most common

    Until recently I've always been one of those people who ate 'ethical' meat i.e. outdoor reared etc etc. However due to the whole grain vs livestock issue and the cost of a decent bit of meat, well it was as they say a no-brainer!

    I understand that at one point, we needed to eat meat to survive. Now, that's not the case; I can get all my nutrients elsewhere; so why the unnecessary suffering and death? It's not needed.
