damd good question. it could be partially how people are brainwashed by the dominant culture, and partially, maybe, of having, if only marginally, a better chance of being listened to. also of course, the corporate powers that be, cheerfully support anything that makes anything that tries even a little bit to avoid kissing their ass look bad, and have the resources to fund doing so. why anyone who supports substantive improvement would go along with their doing so remains something of a mystery certainly. but again i suspect the answer to that is a matter of the perspectives of the dominant culture. of course democrates aren't really saints. but they ARE somewhat less deserving generally of the degree of disaprobation heaped upon them, that in reality most republicans are. =^^= .../\...
