Why is Phish considered a hippie band? I have listened to some of their stuff and it doesn't particular sound hippish, nor does it have any hippie messages. So what's the deal?
Phish is considered hippie because: they were the second big head band to make it commercially the flotsam in the lot tended to be hippie (or frat boy) They were not afraid to bend rules, attractive trait to hippies.
