Males is hurts so badly, because thier nerve endings are so close togther. So for guys the needle going through hurts, and so does the after part.
Females, the inital piercing its self doesnt hurt that bad, its after that hurts when the nerves grow back. Because the nerves in our nipples are spread out, its really one of the least painful piercings a girl can get. When i got both mine done i told the guy who did it that when he pierced my belly button it hurt way more than my nipples.
NEVER numb anything before you get it pierced, cause one the numbness wears off your piercing could actully turn out crooked and shit... not a good thing to have

It's not something i would choose to get again. But it depends kinda on how well you can take pain. i take pain pretty good and my nipples fuckin hurt when the guy did them.
But you wont know till you find out for yourself, someone could tell you it hurt them and you go in and it doesnt hurt. or visversa.

The pain of getting my nipples pierced was weird, because it hurt ALOT, but literally for a split second, and then the pain was completely gone. No soreness after, and they healed very very well.
Though I hear it's more painful for guys, as mentioned above, but I don't know your gender.
Good luck =]

I can't speak for dudes cause I heard it does hurt more, but I did not think it was that bad when I got it, just pain for a second and then done, healed really easily...

In comparison with tattoos, the pain is 100x more intense but instantaneous. Its the difference between slight pain for a long time or intense blinding hot pain for a split second. By the time you realize it hurts like a mofo, its over...until the next one Hahaha.
Anyway. healing them was the really unpleasant part as they can be picky. And getting the one snagged and ripped was the worst.

Also, I did it b/f any kids. I removed the ring a few months into my first pregnancy, as it is a nursing choking hazard. When my "milk came in", the holes leaked like crazy - kinda funny. I have never put the ring back in, though am still nursing my youngest baby, I don't think I ever will.
I have always thought the girl made the hole too far behind my nipple - but I am not a piercer - so it may be right.
Like my tat's more .....

So i have very sensitive nipples, I don't know if that is the best way to put it, but I mean i get much pleasure from simple contact with my nipples...I've heard getting them pierced is risky...is there REALLY a chance nerves will be permanently damaged and I may never have this quick pleasure again?!?!
and is that leaking situation previously mentioned, when milking, a common occurence?

Yeah not too bad. I found that having them done was not too painful, they just took a while to heal. The rings as expected created a lot of extra sensitivity especially against clothing. That was a pain in the ass at first because once my nipples got hard the piercings got painful. One of the only times I wore a bra, I had to buy a sports bra to limit the rubbing until they were healed.

It was pretty painful but over quickly. Got mine done about 1 and a half months ago. It's healing nicely.

It's not too bad, and it lasts for a second. I would say about 6/10.
And I had to get one nipple repierced three times because I wasn't happy with it.
The pain wasn't increased at all.

I've had mine done for about 15 years now. Actually, that has been broken up by a ripped one. Infected one, improper placed one and a removal and redo. All in all, my right nipple has been pierced 4 times. Left only once. For me, it was the average pain of any of my 11 piercings I have had. None really hurt very bad. A bit of burning and pain, but not much

Piercing took a second and I dont really remember the pain. It wasnt that bad. The aftercare is what sucked. Huge pain in the ass.

Im a male, and recently got both of mine done. Pain is for sure intense, but very, very quick. Id say 7.5/10 but only for 2-4 seconds. I would say my pain threshold is pretty low as well (for example a few places i have tattoos i thought hurt a lot worse than when comparing them with friends pain levels). After reading this feed you will see its near impossible to gauge how bad it is. All the research i did said "it will hurt a lot more for males", but aside from about a days worth of bare-able soreness this piercing is a cakewalk (for me!). It hurt when they were pierced, but its so quick and intense your adrenaline kicks in quick and you dont feel it that long at all. I believe my tongue was by far worse in terms of post-piercing soreness. I got mine done around 5pm, and by 1 or 2 in the morning i didn't feel them at all when i was at a bar. I've now had them over a week, and they are perfectly fine. Still not ok to play with, and im super strict about touching and cleaning them, but i feel no pain, and not much soreness whatsoever. They are sore when I clean them, but leaving them alone and letting them breathe i have no issues. I read about "crusties" and ive only had them right after it was pierced. Never again had any (just showing that i am not getting much of a "normal body reaction" and EVERYONE'S BODY IS DIFFERENT) In my opinion the pros faaaar outweigh the cons. Bactine definitely helps at first, since its an anti-bacterial and has a slight numbing agent. Saline soaks before cleaning seem to do wonders. Soak and clean as often as you can at first. Another huge factor is your piercing artist and their experience. My artist is great at what he does, and gave me great advice. Told me what to expect, whats normal, whats not, etc. I think that went a long way in the initial piercing and especially in aftercare.

I've had several piercings but all I have left now are my half inch spacers in my ears. The piercing that hurt the most but only for a moment was the septum for me anyways but I had both nipples and yep it hurt haha, of course it did but it wasnt liek the septum or labret
