Well, I was a sceptic until I had my first Reiki "treatment". It was undeniable...pain I had for a long time was gone. I now have my 2nd degree Reiki. I know there are Reiki practitioners out there who won't agree with this, but I don't charge for Reiki. I see it as a kind of prayer. If there needs to be an exchange of energy, I let nature take care ot it.
o nice, curious where or how did you learn the 1st and 2nd degree is it true that it needs to be past down by a master or something like that? or is it simply a skill you can learn by reading up on and daily practice??
Yes, a Reiki Master opened me to Reiki. It does help to do daily practice and meditation. An excellent book on Reiki is "The Japanese Art of Reiki" by Bronwen and Frans Stiene.....Can I ask what interested you in Reiki?
I myself do no healing. It is a power outside of me, that flows thru me. I think all people can send healing with or without a Reiki Degree. I used to send healing before I ever heard of Reiki. I just thought the degree gave me some extra oomph LOL...
haha thank you recommendations and well iv always heard of energy healing and kinda just ran into Reiki and started to search and look into it... lol always curious and ambishous to learn and improve myself.
i think its bullshit, a double blind test was conducted that proved reiki, and other paranormal medical procedures are ineffective. if you find any evidence, (studies and such, not just a random persons claim that "it worked on me" becuase it could be a placebo effect) post it here.
I think you have nothing better to do with your time. If you don't think any of this stuff is real then why are you posting comments all over this forum? the only real proof is the proof of what each person experiences in there own lives. Your going to tell us that you never had any intuitive/psychic experiences? If you haven't which is bullshit, then why are you even waisting your energy posting stuff that no one here cares to hear about?
even a personal experience needs something to support it . one time a wild crow was talking to me in a human voice . i was quite surprised . then so glad when it repeated that message exactly so . it said : la la o (then a scratch on a branch) and then a few moments later la la o (then a scratch on a branch ) twice is nice is just one kind of proof . last week i was talking with a young woman who has lately become confident in her choice to be healer . we talk for an hour or so , then as she leaves she gives me a big kiss through my jacket and direct to a spot on the back of my right shoulder . how did she know i had a monstrous painful zit there ? so later on i told her how that kiss had hit the spot . not that she'd done any miracle healing - just that she had the true and exact knowing of a good medicine woman and thank you for the loving , sister . witness is another kind of good-enough proof .
I attended Reiki classes and got the level 1 & 2 attunements, but not level 3 - I really didn't feel I was effective with it. But I saw my teacher do some amazing stuff, and one time she helped me to "see" energy in a way I would have thought impossible. By the way, vsergio, you need to look at the design of the experiment before you conclude that it "proves" anything - I've seen lots of experiments that were touted as proofs, yet the conclusions did not logically follow from the results, and the design left many questions unanswered.
To vsergio....Ahhh yes, Reiki is real. I don't consider myself a very trusting or open person. I always need proof. And I have seen Reiki and other healing methods work on myself and others. I sat and watched my Reiki Master, a wonderful Sufi woman, open her own mother to 2nd degree Reiki,and actually saw purple aura around her hands as she did this. There is such magic in this life. I am sorry that you are missing it.....
windy... i like what you said about healing energy not needing the Reiki degree... i totally agree. i am new to working with energy in general... at least in a conscious way, but it's fun, and i learn daily about myself and others, and the universal connection. it's beautiful and magical and hard and silly and any other emotion you want to name! i doubt i would be a very good reiki practitioner... i somehow don't think it's my style... but those of you who use it well... yay for you! together we are all opening the planet to some new and amazing stuff!!!
vsergio, i don't think anyone really cares about proving anything to sceptics. If you want proof, find it yourself.
spirit healing is free , so i guess people just pay to have someone hold their hand . i've only been to a professional one time since i got a free session in a raffle . it's the only thing i ever won and was a curious experience . i remember she tried to hypnotize me , but i didn't take it too seriously and even had a bit of fun letting her think i was being so perfectly cooperative then oops i told a little lie and she just looked sooo confused for a moment . mostly i thought her very nice and caring and in essence a very good counselor and holder of my hand . an idea that we can lovingly help heal one another is traditionally respectable . . .
hehe... thank you! i enjoy living my life with the intent to change any little part of the world i can for the better, even if it's only giving a lonely person a smile and a "how are you today." i have all kinds of dreams for how i can "save the world" and they all kind of boil down to me being who i am, and sharing that with others. kinda easy when you think of it that way lol!
