Linking to other Websites

Many people want to post links to either their own websites/blogs or websites that interest them. We have many ways to promote other websites using the Hipforums and our other sister websites. There are more than half a dozen ways to link another site here.

1. Every member group has it's own link facility, where unlimited #s of links can be posted and categorized. (not available currently)

2. Anyone can post a single link in the context of a related thread (once).

3. Anyone can link to a website in their profile.

4. Anyone can post a link at Hipplanet.com's link section which has been going strong for more than 10 years now.

5. Any links posted on Hipplanet get picked up (eventually) by our search engine at HipSearch.net

6. We occasionally add free links to Hippy.com's various pages, for websites that have earned respect for providing beneficial services to the greater community over the years.

Everyone of the above options is FREE and available to any member without even asking for permission.

Then if someone wants to advertise...

7. We have banner programs on every one of our websites. Our rates are low for the size of our audience.

8. We have Hip Shops if people are selling stuff. They get their own forum to conduct business.

9. We have the Business Directory where they can just post a link to their website.

We've created all these ways to promote other websites, most of them free.

So there is absolutely no need to spam this website by posting up numerous links in threads, signatures, PMs or elsewhere. If you do, you are in violation of our Forum Guidelines and will be promptly banned and never allowed to return. Sorry but spam is a major problem for forum websites and by keeping it out, we keep good people coming back to our spam free site!
