if you kill a police officer in self defense, is it self defense?

Say you're black and you come across the biggest racist asshole cop in the world. He starts to arrest you, and when you ask why, he starts beating you with his stick and says "resisting arrest". He starts to reach for his gun, but you reach for yours first and you fire off a few rounds that disable and kill him.

what do you think would happen?

technically, it is always self defense when resisting arrest. Someone is trying to hurt you / lock you away, and you're restisting and defending yourself. If you try to run from the law, or lie, that's self defense. In these cases, you're protecting yourself and your well being.
But legally? There is no such thing as self defense against a cop. the law and the government can do whatever they want to you, because its in your "best interests".
