I am looking for a commune because I am soon going to be homeless due to not being able to find a job. Unfortunately all of the communes I find online are "smoking prohibited" And I am not cool with that. Haha.

I have been wanting to join a commune that specializes in free thinking using pychedelics like mushrooms, lsd, peyote etc... also one that accepts the use of marijuana. also i would like a commune in which alcohol is not consumed

Who is joining who?
It may be that you have to change yourself to join them, instead of them changing themselves to join you.

“The most effective way to restrict democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: kings and princes, priestly castes, military juntas, party dictatorships, or modern corporations.” – Noam Chomski, May 1998

We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail.  He can be caught.  He can be killed and forgotten.

But four hundred years later an idea can still change the world.

Name's Caity...

Looking for a way to better my life.... Maybe join a commune?

Have you ever seen The Beach, with Leonardo DiCaprio, where he finds this amazing place with awesome ppl ... that's what i'm looking for... I'm a dreamer and an adventurous spirit... I don't like the corporate world... and I hate the ways of the government....

Someone lead me in some direction... i havent quite figured my self out... mostly because i do not know what is out there... or what possibilities this world has. thanks! :D

There use to be a group that came to New Orleans. They were based in the mountains in TN I think. Name of group started with a Z and they had bumper stickers, something about revolution.
But I'm hoping to find one that takes the threat of NWO seriously.

I live in Darwin, Australia. I see hippies around, and we have good markets and such.. but I don't know if there is any communes here.. I wish I knew, I will have to ask next time I go to the markets (in like.. 3 months haha). I would love to live in a commune for a year or so.
