Isnt it that they give out free baby formula to 3rd world countries, making women dependant on their product rather than using FREE breastmilk?!
There are lots of bad things about this company. Another one is that they move into small rural areas and try to claim the water supply to for their bottled water.
Here is a good article about Nestle and their bottled water. http://www.alternet.org/environment/52526/?page=1
Nestle kills babies!!!! I cant believe that such a socially aware site would not understand this. Because you have to mix it with water, the mothers in Africa mix it with water that is not safe for drinking which can kill the baby. Also, to make a container last longer, the mothers give their babies watered down formula that contains less nutrients. Lastly, breast milk is best as it contains nutrients that aren't in formula and breast milk and breast milk also contains antibodies that protect the baby from disease such as diahhreah and ear infection.
I am on a low income and live in a small town. What if the only reasonable priced dark chocolate available happens to be Nestle?
I wont eat their stuff, but it's more personal-based. I was offered a job with them, then after I had put in my notice at my last position they decided to start a "hiring freeze" at the plant I applied to back in November. So from Nov (07') till March I scrambled around working Day labor, driving Cab's etc. Then after all this, when I ended up having to move in with family cuz' I couldn't afford to pay my bills and simultaneously feed myself, they call me out of the blue with the "Soooo, you still lookin' for work?" bullshit. F#$k Nestles
Hmmmm.... It seems Nestle is getting boycotted because: 1. They were always on the boycot list 2. They claimed a water supply for their bottled water 3. Had a hiring freeze when someone needed a job 4. Hand out free babymilk to african countries Nice work, I'm very convinced Couldnt you at least google the subject, or did you boycot google? General knowledge: they use genetically manipulated materials to produce their products.
Yeah bottled water is the big thing, especially in Maine. But it's soon to hit your neighborhood as well, if you aren't vigilant.
Well fuck yea on #3 Lawman, eat whatever the hell you want to, I wont stop you, I just said I was ahead of the game in that department, or I at least make a conscious effort to try to be and it's a valid reason on a personal level in my eyes. But right behind ya' with the GMO issue,,, I try to make my own bread and eat a minimum of processed foods so as to be better able to dodge corn. It's not an "Artform" in my life but there is some effort in that area.
