how many sexual partners makes a girl a slut?

This is an on-going discussion with one of my female friends.....ok, excluding all other varibles and reasons why irls may sleep with any amount of men.....how many would constitute a "slut"? This is for her whole life.

I know you say "excluding all other variables," but I don't think you can. It's like asking what weight makes a person fat, excluding all other variables. It just doesn't make sense without considering something like height. The higher the number, the higher the probability that you can consider someone a "slut" or "fat," but you can't really know.

It is further complicated by the fact that "sluttiness" is very subjective, as opposed to concrete measurements of body fat and height/weigh ratios. In terms of sluttiness, I think it depends on the nature of each encounter. If you've had 20 sexual partners, there is a greater chance that many of them did not demand much discretion.

Sorry, the answer does not conform to the paradigm of your argument, but I think you can only say that someone is 'probably' slutty based on the number of partners.

 

How about over ten sexual partners in a four year window?
I don't know, what makes a girl a slut isn't quite the numbers (okay, well they matter a lot too), but in what sense they hold sexual encounters important to their being, and the amount of respect they hold for the other party involved as well as the sanctity of what they're doing.

A woman isn't doing anything negative by having multiple partners unless she is doing it out of lack of self-esteem or is doing it dangerously. Therefore, there is no particular number. The word "slut" itself is outdated, reeks of sexism and is more than a little absurd - it practically drips with ancient views about the "propriety" (i.e., repression and aversion) toward sex that women used to have, and oftentimes are still expected to have.
In other words, the label is dumb, and trying to find numbers to suit that dumb label seem, to me at least, to be fruitless.
If you're simply looking for what would constitute a woman being slutty in general, misguided society, then I'd have to say that round my parts, a woman in her twenties with more than fifteen past partners fits the bill.

 

This thread is kind of wrong. I think you can call a slut someone who fucks for money, not someone who has many sexual partners.

18. 10-15 guys. slut.
25. 50 guys. slut.
and so on and so forth.
it depends on age and expeirence.

I'd rather hang out with a slut than a home wrecker. Sluts, just have lots of sex, but home wreckers' main intention of pursuing someone is to break up that person's current relationship to create a dramatic situation. Somebody who gains great pleasure out of taring up love that was good left alone is truly evil.

 

A SLUT is a girl who has sex with ONE guy without dating him at all before or after that. Therefore if I raped you, you would instantly become a slut, no matter what you want or what your opinion is! Someone who fucks for money is a higher rank of slut, called a prostitute, we are talking about a slut here.

Okay it isn't exactly quantifiable but i think most would agree to these parameters:

age slut requirements
15-18: >1/year +
19-20: >3/year
20-23: >3/yr +
24-30: >3/yr +
30-35: >4, or, >2+
>35: i rather not think about it (no offense hot MILFS)

+ denotes the requirement of a female seeking out sex with little desire or concern for long term commitment in the majority of the bangings.

Slutty is not as bad as whoreish, which is like a slut but when she is golddigging too. It is possible to be a nympho and not a slut nor whoreish, but unlikely.

 

I'm going to have to disagree with that. If anyone raped you they would be a rapist and you would be the victim.

Guys are called studs not sluts when sleeping with many women unless they are sleeping with women they do not even like....in that case a guy is a slut.

i think sluttiness has more to do with intentionally risky behavior and hurting ppl's feelings than just a number. i don't see anything wrong with having sex with somebody with no intention of a commitment as long as both are on the same page and it was a fun time. having that sort of attitude is why some ppl feel the need to make a relationship with somebody they sleep with when there's nothing there except that one night of sex. sex does not obligate a person to commit.

having said that though... we should all be careful, because some ppl will think having sex or fooling around means you want to date them afterwards... so be clear with them if you don't... and use condoms if you're having random sex
