I'm sure he DID have an award...
but either way; his portrayals of the effects of various drugs were scarily realistic!!!
Spot on, the man's on fire to be perfectly fair.

 

The film has been overplayed for me, so I don't think much of it anymore, and have strong views on it. Admittedly, Depp did play a good 'stereotypical' Hunter.

Depp won one award for his performance: The Russian Guild of Film Critics' Best Foreign Actor, which means shit to Depp basically.

 

Depp is an extremely gifted actor.

 

I can watch that film over & over again !!!! He is absolutely
amazing in that film, just hpe he is just as good in teh Rum Diary !!!

 

Me too; in fact I have.
It's been overplayed to me in the past but I simply can not tire of that film. I find something new each time.
For example, Depp's first acid trip in the hotel reception area; the carpet design started crawling up the wall, etc..

..has anyone recognised and listen to the conversation that the cowboy's having on the phone in the background??

'Did you hear about that little girl... yeh, they took and they beat her to death then they killed her... apparently they got her adrenaline gland or something... sold to some satanism freak down town....'

..and what does Depp indulge in later on??..

'As my attorney I advise you to take a hit out of the little brown bottle in my shaving kit; you won't need much just a tiny taster - adrenicrome - that stuff makes pure mescaline look like - ginger beer, maaaannn.....'

In order to pull that off successfully though, said 'British dude' would have to fake an accent anyway so they probably wouldn't even sound British..
My brother (British, naturally) can pull off an OUTSTANDING impression of the Polish/Latvian accent - it's quite scary. Fucking hilarious, though.

He's an amazing actor but every time I see him he looks completely different.
I told my bro this and he agrees so I can't be the only one.

I disagree; his features are very distinct, but he's good at changing the way he looks.

 

Johnny Depp has been my very favorite actor for years now, he's amazing, and i think his features are very distinctive. I LOOOVE his cheekbones. And those eyes...

 

I love how Johnny Depp has a million different faces, all of which are extremely pleasant to the eyes. He is a brilliant actor.
