I'm in need of names of children's books that have a theme that evolves around peace and conflict resolution. I need to get some good books for the classroom I'm student teaching in this semster and they have to be on these topics in order for it to be covered by the grant we were given.
"The Big Book For Peace", I think it was called. It was a collection of short stories, poetry, beautiful illustrations and such, with peace as the theme. It was a favorite of mine when I was in elementary school.

Same here! Man, I want to dig that out now... my mom gave it to me when she was first telling me about hippies (what with the peace and love and all). Yes yes... this is all her fault!
Michael Franti of Spearhead has a new book he helped create called "What I Be" I havent seen it, but knowing what I do about Spearhead and their message of understanding, love, and peace....it has to be a good one.
