"Road to Perdition" "Band of Brothers"(Not technically a movie, but it was overshadowed by Saving Private Ryan) "Donnie Brasco" "The Fisher King" "Gattaca"
That's actually the first thing I thought of when I saw the threat title. It's also a top-notch action/adventure movie. Great movie, but I think it was pretty highly rated. Other than that...I'd say Bubba Ho-Tep. It got pretty decent reviews but definitely not enough publicity. Great movie.
Austin Powers: Goldmember actually did have a scene in it that made me laugh until I cried (the part where he and Mini-Me are behind the curtain at that little examination clinic thing and all you see is their shadows), but I really didn't watch the rest of the movie. I think Eternal Sunshine was incredibly underrated...I may be wrong, but it's still one of my favorite movies of all time. Don Juan DeMarco, too...I can't believe that movie's in the $5 bin everywhere (lucky me, though!), it's Johnny Depp in probably my favorite role he's ever played. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a good (non-cheesey) love story. Right now my brain's stuck, so I can't think anymore...boo.
Considering I can't find it mentioned in this forum I'd have to throw in: Shawn of the Dead; A genre-straddling kick-ass rom-zom-com!

1) Wes Anderson movies are pretty much focused on certain people, and over here, hes huge. 2) Shaun of the dead was not underrated. 3) Jay and Silent Bob Strike back? are you 13 or a freakin frat boy retard!? 4) Lets refrain from using the word gay to bash a movie, also, i doubt you have seen all those movies (though i agree they pretty much all sucked) but watch true romance and dark city.
true romance and dark city were gay as in gay. wes anderson is horrible, all his movies are the same. they're so quirky and adorable, they just make me wanna "LOL"...pretty fagastic. I watched the DVD commentary of "The Life Aquatic" and I'm telling you he's a asshole fucking asshole fucker. although "The Royal Tenenbaums" was almost acceptable.
hmmmm wrong guy is probably the most hilarious movie i have ever ever seen. i just cant understand how no one i know has heard of it. the crowd, from 1928 (lol im such a silent movie buff, kinda pathetic) is a great film that no one will watch because its a silent film. but it is amazing and is probably the first art film, in my opinion. its not archaic or outdated in the least. hmmm cant think of much else. most classic films are surprisingly underrated anymore. i mean sure theres citizen kane and casablanca, but there are soooo many more great old movies waiting to be found. lol okay ill stop.
Kevin Smith said that each of his movies have this magic number. Nothing he does can gross over $30million. Chasing Amy... $30mil. Dogma... $30mil. Jay & Silent Bob... $30 mil. For a brilliant satyrical director, you'd think the guy'd get a break. Jersey Girl would probably have done better except it suffered from co-called "Gigli-stink". I think Clerks fell short of the $30mil mark, but I have to think it did over $3mil. Gimme a moment here... Nope... you're dead on, koopa. $3.1million domestic gross according to BoxOfficeMojo. On the good side, Clerks II is at $24million as of today. Maybe it'll be his first over the big 3-0. As for underrated movies: Strictly Ballroom Earth Girls Are Easy (okay, it's not Citizen Kane... I'm easily entertained) Yellowbeard (again, not Shakespeare, but what a cast) Something Wicked This Way Comes
8MM is an awesome Nicolas Cage film. It really didn't need that shitty sequel. American History X is a film that made me feel very different. No film has ever made me feel that way. American Psycho is another great film that not many know of. Christian Bale was great in that film. Now, whenever I see him, this movie comes to mind. I'm probably forgetting alot of others. I'll continue later.
None of the movies you listed were under rated. and way to rip your name off of a really bad south park episode. I just watched Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, and while it may be well known, when released it was extremely bashed on, it took 4 years to be released in theatres and on video. Highly recommend it, of all the disturbing movies ive seen, its just the most powerful, last house, and i spit, dont hold a candle to it.
i cant whole heartedly agree with this list but josie and the pussycats was a good movie, it mocked popular culture in words that youngsters can understand.
Grandma's Boy I go to a school with game design kids.....and they are dead on in this movie. amazing mockery....
I just found a Youtube clip from Hustle. To out you in the picture her police detective partner has just been killed and his collleague is in the scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5o5v0vGcq0
Kick-Ass (2010), I don't think that it got the attention that it deserved. I've heard a lot of people compare it to Deadpool but I personally liked Kick-Ass more than Deadpool. I didn't like Kick-Ass 2 though.
Blood Simple; Coen Bros first movie. Dirty Pretty Things; Audrey Tautou is smoooookin hot! Transiberian; felt like a modern day Hitchcock movie. Pans Labyrinth; Guillermo Del Toro is a freaking genius!! Pulp Fiction; I took a date, passed up The American President, maybe the greatest date movie of all time. When it comes to romance I suck!! These aren't my favorite 5 in the world. I just thought I would suggest some great ones people haven't seen. Sans Pulp Fiction... Everyone has seen that.
