do any of you guys out there paint your toenails or hands for that matter? i've done it a few times, i think it looks kinda cool.
I have done it, but I would never have the courage to go out in public like that. That's just me I guess. However I have a neighbor who has his toenails painted a plumb color. The only real decoration I do to my feet is wear a silverband on the middle toe of my left foot.
I do just about everything else---toe rings, ankle bracelets, and great foot care, but I still haven't painted. Might be just a bit much for me. I don't have a problem with it on guys who do, though. On both sexes, I prefer seeing softer colors---bright red just doesn't do it for me. If I ever try it, it would probably be one of the lavender tones.
I used to paint my toenails blue or black, never my fingernails though for some reason, i dont like toe rings, I had one but it rubbed and blistered which wasnt fun, but yeah anklets, totaly man.
I've never done it. But, it might cure my mud under the nails look, which is a pain at this time of year. How short do you guys trim your nails? Mine are a little long, which is more comfortable as I sometimes kick roots and things.
I keep mine trimmed short. Ever had a toenail peeled back after tripping on something? Less likely to happen with short nails IMHO.
man i wear toe rings and homemade anlets, and i take awesome care of my feet.....but i wouldnt ever paint my toe nails. I think thats just kinda creepy. I really prefer a girl who doesnt wear any nail polish unless its like a real light color, and so i certainly would not paint mine. If you like that kinda thing though, go for it man. Do whatever floats your boat.
I painted them once when I was eight years old, but never since then. It would be far too much trouble. My personal beautification program is pretty much confined to showering, shaving, and combing my hair. If I'm lucky.
Personally, I think the painted nails thing is going a bit too far: To me, going barefoot is partly about the ease and inherent laziness of it. Why then would I go and spend 20 minutes painting my toenails?? Not to mention, I don't really want to look like a chick and a hippie at the same time.... or seperately for that matter.....
Sadly that's not an uncommon way for people to think. I painted my toes many times when I was younger and single, precisely because it was a good way to challenge people's perceptions. Women were really open to it, it seemed to me, but men never said anything good about it. I also went with blues, greens and black occasionally, as red really doesn't suit me. It was always a good conversation starter with women though, as either they would comment on my painted toes, or I could ask them about what colors they were wearing. I enjoyed that part of it when women would be looking at my toenail color, because it usually led to some great-looking women giving me great compliments and smiles, and there's not much better in the world than that.
ooOOOOoooh, i think it is sooo sexy when a dude has his toes painted. i like bright, metallic colors - blue, purple, green... one of my male clients came in with flip flops and blue toes... it was sooo hot!
Where were you seven years ago, my dear?! Hehehe...Yeah I always wore the metallic or the opalescent colors as well. I had one that was a sky blue but in certain angles of light it would get brighter or darker. That was always my favorite, as it looked particularly good in the grey skies of Washington.
I think that it's really great to have painted toenails. I'm always barefoot when the weather is right and color on my nails makes it right.
hmm, another old thread lol ive honestly never seen a guy with painted toenails... i dont think id like the way it would look, but it would be cool for a guy to just paint their toenails and not care what anyone thought. i dont paint my nails, toe or otherwise, i like that natural look.
no, as a barefooter i am about comfort. i do not particularily care for painted nails on womyn or men.
