How does this work, exactly? Are there an infinate amount of babies, or does it stop at one point? I hear there is a human case, but I can't find it. Has anyone something to contribute?

I can't imagine a human case. In animals were it occurs there is no generational limit. the ova just develop without outside fertilisation.
