Today I got 2 records 1) Steppenwolf - First album 2) Steve Winwood - Talking back to the night (JAPANESE PRESSING (NOT SR-2 GARBAGE - Sounds excellent))
On Wens I got 2 records 1) Hall and Oats - H2O 2) Chicago Transit Authority - Record 2 (I had record 1 and its georgeous and wanted the 2nd one (I didnt realise the 2nd one wasnt in it already when I bought it weeks ago (Record 1 of "Chicago 2" was there instead..... NOT AS GOOD AT ALL))) I would say Chicagos FIRST ALBUM is the best they ever did!!
I quite liked this idea. You buy the vinyl and get a MP3 download as well as the album on physical cd version. No proper cd cover, but who needs when you have the vinyl.
I got 4 records tuesday 1) Peter,Paul and Mary - First album (Mono) 2) A 45: Peter and Gordon - Lady Godiva/Morning's calling 3) A 45: Jimmie Rodgers - Thier Hearts were made of spring/Honeycomb 4) A 45: The Beatles - Come together/Something Its sad.... The peter, paul and Mary album was not taken care of well... It has a warp in one side (First song) so I have it in VISE GRIPS downstairs (with protective covering) and its been in there for 8,9 hrs now..... I went to check on it 1 hour ago and the warp had come out but it still wasnt flat........ It didnt skip initially but I still wanna get the warp out if I can..... (I tried hot water over that spot and nothing (Its slightly thicker material)) Another album I saw in the collection HAD A WORSE WARP!! -- I told the ppl that worked there that probably no one would want that so he threw it out..... Its sad, salvation army should check stuff that comes in!! (Or the idiots that bring it in should!!)
I actually didn't buy the last vinyl for myself. A friend of mine gave it to me as a birthday gift because he knew I would absolutely adore the cover (I'm a cat freak). And he also put a frame around it so it can be hanged upon my wall. And another friend of mine ordered an Eric Clapton autographed Cream Disraeli Gears vinyl LP. So it'll arrive next week, happeh happeh.
Today I got a 78 Gordon MacRAE - Half a heart is all you left me/Poison Ivy 2 bins of records came in today (MOSTLY 78s) and I havent EVER seen 78s IN THIS GOOD A CONDITION!!! -- They look BRAND NEW!! (Not a spot on them) I might go back 2morrow and see if I can get some more goodies.... I just saw this blue CAPITAL one and decided to get it;see if I like it....... I LOVE BOTH SONGS LIKE CRAZY!! Oh my................
On Tuesday I got a record Led Zeppelin - The song remains the same (A 2 record concert from thier movie of the same name (1973) -- ITS FANTASTIC!!)
I don't remember my latest, but I remember my first vinyl album I bought. The Guess Who American Woman in 1970 edit and I have thousands of lps
Today I got a record and an 8 track 1) RECORD: Ted Nugent - Weekend Warriors 2) 8 Track: Barry Manilow 1
No as a matter of fact both the record & 8 track were free... (I had put about 7 albums up on the floor before I found those)
