    Reminds me of a stage play I saw back in the 1980s, called The Late Blumer. Synopsis: "Vancouver 1967. Blumer takes the ultimate acid trip and sleeps for seventeen years, waking up to find himself in 1984. Can he adjust? Can Vancouver?" Blumer has a bit of trouble adjusting to life in the 1980s. The most memorable line: "You have acid rain? Oh, wow. We talked about putting it in the water, but we never thought... Far out, man!"

    If he woke up now, he would assume he was still tripping.

    I think the sixty's were much better than the new millennium. This country now has a stupidity pandemic, because everyone does what their smart phones and tv's tell them to do. Back in the 60's there were those of us that actually thought for ourselves. There's still a few of us.....

    I haven't rolled a joint in a decade. In the 80s I could roll a 'Gar with a single Top paper. Today, as I'm nearing the end of my 50s, pot is too tight, sticky and strong for a joint (IF you could get it to work).

    Yeah. I feel more alienated than ever. I do not buy into the smart phone , reality TV, social media hype and am often made to feel like I inhabit a different planet because of it. But! I don't give a fuck! I like getting my news from newspapers and terrestrial TV news reports. I like speaking to people face to face and I sure has hell do not feel the need to check what other people are doing on a second to second basis!
