Interesting article. I really do believe that the double standards are eroding over time. I keep hearing that among guys who are currently under 30, homosexual experimentation has become much more common and accepted than it was for older generations of men. Some younger women say that when two couples get together and the women are pleasuring each other, their guys will entertain each other too. I've never heard a woman over 35 say that, though I'm not saying it never happens.

Exactly. But... I still can't quite visualize my husband and boyfriend doing anything sexual to each other, no matter what it's called or how mainstream it becomes. It would take me a while to get adjusted to the idea.

I think that's the "you're not gay unless you receive" justification.

I remember readings a swingers advertisement from a women who declared she was not interested in any man that claimed bi or even bi curious, she perceives these traits to be of less masculinity.
I bet that took a hit on certain guys on the site, probably changed all their preferences before contacting her.

Not really a double standard. When guys watch two girls, they're getting off on the girls doing it. Guys watching guys is gay.

 

Everything is about what guys want to see? That's a double standard.
