Exorcist The Ring I like psychological thrillers mainly though, I don't know if they directly fall under the category of scary: Silence of the Lambs Seven 8mm What lies beneath
Hello there fellow boomer. Those days were the best for 'monster movies', weren't they? In my home town there was a theatre that showed nothing but the enormous supply of cheaply-made titles of the fifties and early sixties. Triple Features every week (usually saturday afternoons for me, ay). Did you ever see the nifty but almost forgotten Boris Karloff entry FRANKENSTEIN 1970? Or the remarkably excellent sci-fi horror ENEMY FROM SPACE? Or the kitschy modern ghost movie TORMENTED? I could go on and on!
Hey Worldofdarkblue, I've seen so many scary movies I don't remember all the film titles but when I see suggestions like yours I start looking for the DVD's... So do go on. I think part of the thrill and scare of the horror movies was being in those formative years when you were old enough to know that a movie was just a movie but young enough to still wonder...What if...what if those things were really out there. And as a kid you always knew that what ever monsters were out there...there was nothing more tasty than a young kid...and they were always hungery. HA, what fun! I still love 'em.
Well it certainly looks like fun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV39bRQGl8o"]YouTube- QUATERMASS 2 - 1957 - TRAILER Hotwater
Hey, I'm considerably more mature than you and have to admit that movie concept influenced my thinking to the point of concern. :leaving: More on that here: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showpost.php?p=6267074&postcount=29
Thank God! If it affected Shale, then it's okay to be scared Did you ever find out if a demon bit your toe? I didn't sleep last night. I eventually fell asleep this morning and all I could think about was being dragged off the bed. lol

I agree with ^^^ "The Shining" is amazing. But a close second for me would be "Misery" with James Caan and Kathy Bates. "You dirty bird!"
