Several years back my wife and I were at a stiff-necked convention, when I caught sight of a disc jockey and I mosied on over to see what I could inject into the party (they were playing some awfully dire stuff along the lines of Michael-for-crying-out-loud-Bolton). The DJ said look at the crowd, you get one request, better make it good. I asked if he had Beatles. Left 'em at home, but there was a 'Stones CD. I said gimme some Brown Sugar.
It was akin to coming up for air from beneath the depths.
