    it doesn't work. like how i've busted my ass seven days a week for the last month and i finally had a chance for a day off today, and then at 9:00 last night i got a text that the douchebag who's been ignoring us for the last three months suddenly wants a meeting today. no amount of ass busting could prevent that.

    it was kind of my fault; when asked if i was available today i said not really, but in case of emergency i could come in for this meeting. and of course, the answer was that this was an emergency.
