I picked up a CoQ10 serum last week Damn my skin looks good. I really recommend this stuff. CoQ10 is supposed to repair collagen and aid in the production of new cells. Like retinol but I've used a retinol serum before and it didnt make my skin look like this. It hasnt looked this good in a few years
Never used retinol. I don't think I will anytime soon. I am looking forward to trying this out, hope it arrives soon!
Bumping because I read an article about how moisturizing every day can be really bad for your skin because it prevents your skin from creating its own moisture and also basically keeps dead skin cells stuck to your face And i've just had blah skin for a while, its so dry all the time despite using a really rich moisturizer on top of an oil serum So i cut the moisturizer and oils out and simplified, i've just been using a rosewater toner 2x a day, vitamin c serum once a day, and i'll exfoliate once a week. And i'm so proud to say i have an oily t zone right now! Which i know doesnt sound ideal for most but my skin hasnt produced its own moisture in yeaaarrsss so i'm thrilled Well i guess thats it. Anyone doing anything new in their routine?
I've been liking "Clarins" daily exfoliating cleanser, and use it once daily. And once or twice per month, I use these - they're fun.
Alternate exfoliating once a week with a facial masque and a sea salt and eucalyptus scrub. That stuff makes my skin feel like silk, even after a day at the beach. Which is ironic being that it is sea salt and all. I need to figure out something with my hair. I know you're not supposed to wash it everyday, but the older I get, the more necessary it becomes. Maybe it's not related to age but rather to some other external factor, but if I don't wash it daily it gets so disgusting and oily. Looks like I haven't washed my hair in a week.
I've tried everything under the sun to try to "train" my hair not to get oil between washes - going as long as i can between washes, cowashing, washing with water only, homemade shampoos, etc and it still gets oily by the 2nd day. I wash my hair every other day but I use bentonite clay as a dry shampoo the second day (its a powder, i dont put clay in my hair lol)
