Coconut oil. For me, when it comes to skincare, it is pretty much the most overrated thing. I hate it on my skin. It does very little other than clog your pores.
I find the same; it clogs your pores, and your sink drain. In fact, eating it made me gain a bit of weight and feel like crap, despite the fact that so many people swear by using it as a supplement. Different strokes, I guess.
Yeah. It might be good for oil pulling, if anyone's into that. Although when I tried it, I prefered sesame. Apart from that, I see no use for coconut oil. Anyways, my winter night routine, so far Bioderma micellar to remove makeup (mostly just BB, blush and mascara) The Body Shop tea tree foaming cleanser Louis Widmer toner (I also liked the Afrodita one with niacinamide, thinking about repurchasing it, as I looooove toners) Missha Super Aqua Ice Tear essence (this stuff is good, but I hear emulsion from the same line is even better) Mizon Black Snail (holy grail product) OR Bioderma Sensibio Rich OR Weleda Skinfood - I like to switch moisturizers Apart from that, the occasional sheet mask and/or sleeping pack, and wheat germ oil for under eyes. Mornings - I just wash my face with water, tone, put some Avene Sunsimed, then BB (also with SPF), and I'm good to go.
I might add a serum, maybe vitamin E...if I feel like I need it (cold wind outside and all that). I was also thinking about Buffet from The Ordinary (reviews are pretty good). I dunno, we shall see.
I am currently in love with Alaffia Everyday Coconut Face Cream, but I guess that wouldnt help you ladies that dont like coconut oil. Coconut oil isnt the main ingredient though, neem is I like it because its super cheap, like $8 for a 12 oz container, and it has really good, simple ingredients. And it is rich enough to keep my face moisturized all day in the winter , I have very dry skin Azadirachta indica (Neem)* Aqueous Extract, Carica papaya (Papaya) Leaf Extract, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Pentadesma butyracea (Kpagnan) Butter, Emulsifying Wax, Aromatic Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Extract, Lavandula hybrida (Lavender) Oil, Stearic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Ascorbic Acid.
Btw I have a bunch of samples of this: I haven't tried it yet, but it's suppose to be really, really good. I don't think I need it yet, but I will definitely use the samples. I also have like 10 samples of the regular face cream from the same line, which I'll use when it gets colder
Not for skincare, but haircare... this is SO good, as much as I'm not a L'Oreal fan...it makes my hair really soft it's cold outside, and I have to blow dry my hair, so needed something for heat protection
Piaf, where are you signing up to get all of these samples? I haven't found an amazing skin moisturizer yet, so I think samples would be useful. I don't know where to begin.
Go into your local Sephora and they will make you samples of whatever you want. As long as it's not a powder.
