Once, in Bolivia I was on a bus that had to be floated across a river on a boat! Now that's a form of transportation. Lately, I've been thinking about a cruise - perhaps with Royal Holiday ? http://www.club.royal-holiday.com/index.php?fuseaction=home.section&id=196 Has anyone taken a cruise before?
i voted bus as it's the closest thing to the trusty VW i would say. not public buses though.....i travel on them far to much for them to have an appeal.
Definitely plane for me overall. I can only go so far with anything else. I do a lot of overseas traveling....I get sea-sick on boats :$ But within the country, trains are great!
I really enjoy being in a car when I travel. Something about the wind blowing in my hair, stopping at rest areas, and watching the trees goes remind me of my childhood. Oh man, doesn't that sound cheesy? Lol.
That´s great you´re not scared again to get a boat. What are you doing in the east? I prefer my feet but for a long journey I choose hitchhiking. It´s great way to be close to locals, talk with them and in lot of cases they are proud that you´re interesting about their country so they are very helpful. And if you see something interesting in scenery you can left "your" car and stay. And NO, I don´t prey drivers
I know that feeling. My son just turned four though and is starting to learn to ride his bike, with training wheels. I have a double trailer that I bought at a garage sale for $10. Other than that, I have my truck that I use when I need to get somewhere, but I really prefer to walk. When you walk, you go slow enough to enjoy the sights, see the things that the fast paced world doesn't have time to notice.
I like to ride my bike alot or walk to places mostly I picked "Not sure" on the poll as i have several i like THE MOST so im sure which is best to pick..
I like using my bike, but it's been broken for ages and I've not gotte round to getting a new one. I don't wear all the cycling gear though, just my ordinary clothes.
Theres nothing more exhilerating than a long road trip no matter what time of year... Because I live in South Florida now though I am so far removed from the rest of the nation that I pretty much have to take a plane everywhere (and I absolutely hate flying, though I guess it gets easier everytime) I absolutely loved living in the Midwest because I took road trips ALL THE TIME. So many interesting cities just a road trip away!
