The wing and nose helped, but those mopars were not the best handling cars out there.

i seem to recall a kind of sub compact ultra light truck that the front was the door. i think honda was still making one sometime in the 50s
then there's a sporty three wheeler that drives like a car, the single power wheel being in the back pushing, i for get the name.
morgan maybe? and speaking of that, it looks like there's someone making an updated version of the same thing, all science fictionie looking.

efff the 'z's. i'd rather have a 64 datsun pickup or an 84 e-10 cargo van.

(i don't think they ever sold the larger e10 though dealers in the u.s.,
just the passenger version of the minivan)
as with the volksy and the chevy, beefed up to roads optional and live in ability.

Yes, a 443 HP/470 lb. of torque, 180 mph, 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds, 13.5 sec quarter mile @ 105 mph, and a drag coefficient of 0.28, all with narrow street tires of the day. Better aerodynamics than a Viper.
    All for $4,000.

So much of a boat that NASCAR banned it and the Daytona for winning too many races. The Daytona was the first NASCAR entry to reach 200 mph ( and with a production car). Officially 200.447 mph. The record held for 13 years.
The number 88 Daytona reached a top speed of 240 mph during testing driven by Charlie Glotzbach at Chelsea. (243 mph unofficially).
