Although June Pointer died in 2006 from a stroke/cancer ( the one with the gap in her teeth) I didnt know that until today

yup, i remember furst seeing the beatles from hamburg on the ed sullivan shoe too.

what i often don't remember are names. i've forgotten so many names.
but when someone mentions something from the 60s or even 50s,
there's a good chance i have at least some memories of it.

haven't thought of them in years,
but i certainly remember their sound.

there are several other groups and individual singers mention of them reminds me of too,
but of course, being me, i don't at the moment remember their names.

some time when i'm not trying to, i probably will.

 

I think their first 1973 record is probably thier BEST stuff ever!!

 

i remember the temptations when i was in the air force in 69 and 70. we had dorm-like baraks in the air-force, and i had a room mate who was into motown.

 

you know you mention the pointer sisters, i remember the andrews sisters! lol.
