Star Wars: The Last Jedi’

I remember when the Phantom Menace was first coming out there were fan theories that Darth Maul was a clone of Obi Wan and I was all excited. I thought my dreams had come true

 

Meh. Sounds like something out of a comic book done to death.
I recall my first thoughts on Darth Maul though and they weren't that positive. I basically only digged his lightsaber lol
He looked like a mix of a 90s punker and a ICP member to me. Wasn't fond of either

 

You can dis maul all day but it is fact that the fight between him and qui and obi were the best on film up to that point. And in mho still top 3 lightsaber fights.

 

Yeah he fought Qui-Gon Jinn (who he killed) and Obi-Wan on Naboo, and once bested by Obi-Wan he tumbled down to the planets core.

Now according to the book Darth Maul actually lived despite being cut in half. His anger for Obi-Wan was so great it kept him alive.

 

This Friday, the newest Star Wars standalone film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, will be released.




Solo will follow the adventures of a young Han Solo, as he meets his future copilot, Chewbacca, and a gambler named Lando Calrissian.
In the film, Han will be joining a gangster crew with Lando, Chewie, his mentor Tobias Beckett, a droid named L3-37, and his childhood friend Qi'ra.

The cast of the film is as follows:

I really hate the prequels

But I wouldnt mind a Darth Maul movie as long as it was full on karate ass kicking bruce lee with a lightsaber kind of stuff

Of course, he'd have to speak though

 

At least Star Wars Comics give Admiral Ackbar a proper send off unlike the Last Jedi

*cough*cough* Darth Maul makes an appearance in Solo. Am I doing this right?

Anyway, Solo was pretty cool.

I watched a fan edit of the prequels last night and I could stand it. Granted it was like six hours shorter. Counting down the days until the next time I try to enjoy the prequels. I've done it before. Didn't work then, and I know it won't now, but a boy can dream.

There were some good things about the prequels. Darth Maul is one of them. Sigh...no, they're terrible.

 

I swear I have seen this exact scene 100s of times before, and yet when you put Star Wars characters in it, everyone thinks it's good. I don't get it, but there is undeniably a demand for it.

Maybe Disney should exclusively remake old classics with Star Wars characters, sort of like the Muppets in the 90s.
