In the Fall of 2009 a girl added me on Facebook out of nowhere while I was going through a hard time. Sometime after she added me, she IMed me while I was completely out of it, and we talked about certain things which I was completely surprised when she said that she recognized me as someone special. She told me that she just knew right away that I was a special person, I mean. Being the person that I am, I am just clueless about romantic things, but I have talked to her in certain times right after we met like a time when her boyfriend was completely ignoring her. I guess that I have to internally reflect on what my true feelings are, but I just discovered a feeling inside myself, deep inside, in my gut, and it has left my stomach and heart with a burning sensation for quite some time now. This is after I admitted my feelings which are mutual. But we understand each other very well. We get our own sense of humor and we have a very deep intellectual bond. It made sense that she is attracted to me, even after she was liking tons of my pictures and commenting on many of the things on my profile. But the thing is that she lives in Greece. Ever since I made up my mind to visit her, I just find I guess you could call omens. I see so many things that come up to me concerning Greece: books, words, images and they even appear when I do random searches. She is from Athens. What is remarkable is that my mother had purchased a painting, but what came in the mail was not what she ordered. She then emailed the person and the seller told her to send it to where it belongs: Athens, GR. We have talked through Voice Chat and on both ends we just feel drawn to each of our voices. She said that my voice calms her. I don't feel nervous talking to her and I am able to communicate even deeper things. This feeling has not gone away and it has been an hour. Right now she is on vacation visiting the Greek islands. I learned that you can send your love through psychic messages. I tried doing this and felt it had returned. What do you think, is she the right one? I think we probably have a very strong soul connection.
i was very surprised when you said she's from across the globe, because it sounded like you guys had actually spent time together - physically. maybe it would work, but i'm skeptical - you guys only know each other from online. but if you wanna go visit, go visit. i agree with thedope, you are looking for all those things concerning greece, so you notice them more
Circumstances have come up to where I am able to save up to go to Greece, so that is what I have been planning.

Just don't be surprised when you find out she's been dating a guy all this time in her country miles away from you. Long distance anything is just, a very fuzzy thing. You've seen her on facebook so you know who she looks like which is a plus.

The person who mentioned that she might be dating someone when you get there, is absolutely right! But I'm going to say that it is only one of the many possibilities. I have learned that nothing ever happens the way you expect it to. Love does happen, and i am a firm believer in "when you know, you know" But its hard to know what you really want out of a relationship.. Physical appearance and sex should have very little to do with it. You need to connect with someone and have values retining to relationships that match.. These things are very hard to see sometimes, bc of the things i mentioned above. On top of all this "love" is really a choice you make, it doesn't just happen, it is not magic, it might feel like it.. But in the end it is just you and someone who has made a choice to love you in return and can do this fairly easily bc they "get" you. My parents have been together for 25 years, I was not a mistake and was made 6 months after they met. My dad had been married twice b4 and my mother once.. they are attractive people and had a lot of relationships prior to this. I have never seen them fight, they don't get along perfectly or agree on everything but i would never expect any couple too. One way tickets are cheap.. if you arnt in school or have any debt TRAVEL!!! last year i bought a sailboat packed all my crap up and left! It was the most amazing thing i have ever done. I sailed from NY to Key West, I have met 1000's of people from all walks of life and alll over the world. I really fell this is important for young people to do.. How can you make choices retaining to the rest of your life if you really have no idea what the world holds for you? I have been in love with a looot of girls, and man i'll tell ya you need to find someone who does all the little things you like and doesn't do the things you don't. This girl really needs to understand what makes you tick and be mature about it.. My history teacher once said you should live with a girl b4 you get married b/c you need to find out things like does she put the cap back on the tooth past or not. He is right. I got Greece on my hands today.. and friends of the fam just got back from sailing the islands in Greece. You can't look at stuff like this and expect a clear result.. I promise.. love is not magic.. Being alone sux! but you have to be happy with yourself b4 you can be happy with someone else. When i had the ex on the bow of my boat giving her all 3 inches with my party hat on and my noise maker i bet she loved me too.. but that doesn't last even if you want it to if you don't "get" each other.. If you don't get this now, you will some day.. Till then TRAVEL and you will find her.
