    Sometimes threads are asking a very specific question, and become irrelevant after a certain date. If the thread was about how to get the bass player to show up to next Tuesday's gig, then I would say the thread would probably be irrelevant after that Tuesday.

    The OP is just a rant about the bass player in a band though, and the thread became a general commentary about bass players. Still seems like something that could be discussed.
