I wouldn't call myself a communist, but communism has never been implemented on a national level either.
I'm presuming that the OP's overall conclusion is 'nyah nyah you believe in something that is a failure', but since it has never been implemented, that's not true.

    1) Overthrow the bourgeois
    2) Implement communism
    3) Shortage and starvation begins
    4) Political prisons get built
    5) An oppressor and oppressed class gets formed
    6) "That wasn't real communism, because it wasn't MY communism!"
    7) Rinse and repeat

If it isn't classless and stateless, it isn't communism.

Has nothing to do with being "MY communism"

Communism as envisioned by Karl Marx has never been implemented, period. On a large scale anyways. And likely never will

Are there any strictly communist countries nowadays? I thought that the world governments had all gotten on the capitalist road. Of course most if not ALL the leaders of every country are into enriching themselves at their citizens expense. Exceptions may be the Scandinavian countries.

It's tough to make a buck with communism.

So who exactly do you expect to be coming to the defense of communism, and what is the point of your post?

Yeah, nevermind. China practices state capitalism just like the U.S.

Yes, that's the same thing as not providing water for 1.4 billion.

So there is a certain number that is acceptable?

As long as fewer than 1.4 billion people being denied clean water, it's acceptable? Or are you trying to make some other point?

Yes, nobody in China has access to clean drinking water.
All 1.4 billion people are currently dying of thirst.

FFS... you can get 2L of bottled water for about 60 cents in any nearby store.

And now that you've made me defend China, did you know that in the north the government provides absolutely everyone with central heating for free?

China has its problems for sure, but the idea that the people wake up every day to endless suffering is just ignorant.

Of course there is bottled water. I made no such claim otherwise.

Yes, there is free heating in the north (free as in "healthcare is free in Canada", but nothing out of pocket at the end of the month, nonetheless).

Good thing about the "free" heating too, probably offsets the average $600 USD monthly salary for locals.

I'm not going to say that the Chinese system is better than the American one... but I will say that the Chinese government had a point when they said that Trump is proof that democracy is failing. He is proof that the American system is in really sad shape-- you can't have a true democracy if people are seriously uninformed and stupid enough to support something like that. America definitely isn't the best country in the world, and I think everyone who can look at the situation rationally knows that. But at the same time, America refuses to take cues from the countries that are doing a much better job, or even countries which on the whole aren't doing as well but still have some really good ideas-- it's really frustrating.

China, Russia, and other Soviet countries never actually achieved communism... they also didn't corner the market on ways in which communism could eventually be achieved. They didn't eliminate currency, they didn't eliminate class, they didn't eliminate the state. That doesn't mean communism failed, it means that their way of attempting to achieve communism failed. Saying they are proof that communism cannot be achieved is pretty much the same thing as the 13th century cynics saying that people will never achieve flight because their giant kite wings didn't work.

All of this talk of Soviet Russia and China is pointless... it's usually just a bunch of RWNJ clowns trying to goad the libruls into defending things that they themselves don't actually support. I do like the idea of government-provided housing, heating, education, etc... but not if it leads to genocide, inefficient economic management, curfews, loss of personal freedoms, etc.

If you really want to mock what the left wants in terms of a society, why don't you shit on Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Iceland?

Oh right, it's because everyone knows that they're better.

Every thread or even post from 6-eyed about communism or socialism gives me a deja vu experience.
There's nothing new, every goddamn time..

Pretty much every forum that discusses politics will have right-wing idiots who don't have actual positions or beliefs or insights into anything, and just want to make fun of libruls and show support for their team as if it was a hockey game or something.
