Apparently, this is going to be one massive battle, with thousands of Marines storming the city, to battle apparently thousands of rebels. What do yall think is going to happen with this?

Can you imagine storming a city like these men are doing? I myself would be scared, it has the feeling of trench warfare almost where these men are going to run or stroll in tanks and gun fire will probably ring throughout the night. I have a terrible icture of this in my mind's eye and i fear that the news paper tomorrow morning will be along the smae lines as it has been. Death of course, but massive casualties. Perhpas though this will be a turning point for one side and withdrawal will follow finially ending this dister to man.

hey GOD who sings MELLOW YELLOW on that QUEEN cd you left with me?

The thing is it's not going to be a massive battle as the US army wishes it to be. It will be composed of hundreds of demoralizing "splinters". Most of
the rebels are already leaving the town like the civilians, to attack from else where.

Seems like Fallujah is falling without heavy resistance.

I suppose that's good.... The less people who die the better.

I admit at first I was expecting it to be a gruesome fight, with religious zelouts throwing their lives down to hold the city in any way possible.

I guess not. The US military is well trained - I doubt most of these fighters would be able to stand strong against them as a massive organized fighting force. They're better with guerilla tacts - which the US soldiers have to look out for.

But, the less fighting the better.

the only news available is being brought by the journalists who work on the american side since the other parts are very dangerous. Therefore the news source isnt objective. Our news channels call local people living there and they say there are corpses everywhere, on the steets. some of them started to rot and stink.
As I have told before, most of the rebels have left the city, since it was besieged. Fightings and bombings have spread to other cities. Even if Felluce falls, that wont be the end of the fighting.

As Atatürk once told to the army fighting against the imperialistic british, french, italian and greek armies: "There isnt a line of defense, but a surface. And that surface is the motherland it self."

So the situation in Irak seems like that.

Thats bullshit. Ever watch Al Jazeera Tv? Our news isn't even objective to the american side. Everything we see over here is "10 americans died." Not the marines are doing their job, and kicking the ass of 300 insurgents . And I don't think danger really is that important to some reporters, Most of the images ive seen have them in the middle of the action. Action being, the marines kicking the shit out of the insurgents. I dont support the war, but I will support the troops over in Iraq that are doing what they are trianed to do.

I don't "like" seeing US marines kill Iraqi Insurgents, but if our government send them there, it's not our troops fault they're good at what they do. We got kids over there that just wanted an opportunity to go to college, but they're trained to take orders and to do their job. Our troops deserve every ounce of our support; if we at home don't like it, it's our job to get them back home by protesting against the people who sent them there.

Do you even know what Insurgents are? They're terrorists. These people the troops are after are NOT innocent civilians. They are the kind of people who will kill their own people, even the children. For example: There was a ceremony being held in a poor town in Iraq, for their new water pumping thing or something. There were lots of kids there, and the soldiers were taking part by give the kids candy. Everything was fine really, until just as the kids gathered for the candy, a car bomb was set off. I think about 30, 40something people died? Kids mostly. But it was intended for the Americans. And they do this all the time. Those weddings that got bombed? The towns they were held in were warned that there was going to be an attack. The soldiers made sure to get everyone out who would go. Suddenly there's a wedding going on at the exact place they were scheduled to bomb? They were put there. They were told to go there by Shiite clerics. Whether they were forced or went willingly, they were placed there to make our troops look bad. I'm not spouting BS either. My fiance is in the airforce, my best friend's brother-in-law is in the marines. I know numerous women who's husbands are over there, or have just come home from over there. No things aren't perfect, yes civilians get killed...but it's mostly, seriously, by these insurgents, who couldn't care less about their own people! If you think these insurgents you keep hearing about are innocent civilians, or just peaceful rebels, you're dead wrong. And if you think what they're doing isn't terrorism just because we went over there and occupied their home (no I don't agree with it either), you're wrong about that too. The only people I've ever heard of who would kill their own innocents, women, children, etc. are terrorists and madmen. To think these "insurgents" are anything else is naive and foolish.

They are trained to bomb the Chinese embassy, tractors and trains in former Yugoslavia, bomb villages full of civillians in Vietnam and Laos, bomb hospitals and marriage ceremonies in Iraq, and desert the truck drivers delivering goods to the US army when they are ambushed.
They are also trained to kill my friend's (who works for Reuters ) friends and who has lost two of his colleagues in Iraq. One of them (cameraman) was shot by one of your trained soldiers who thought he was a sniper. he says the other one died when his hotel got bombed.

It seems you dont know the definition of objectivity, since you say "they arent even objective to the american side"

actually your president's grandfather (preston bush or whatever) traded with the Nazis (thyssen steel) while they sent your ignorant (or lets say uninformed grandfathers) to die on the battlefield. Noone gives a fuck about the people getting wasted on the battlefield. Wake up! Not even proper medication (money) is given to the veterans of the 1st gulf war who were also unaware that their beloved Army made them use artillery shells containing depleted uranium.

I support the insurgents, have never liked the invaders, especially if they are under the title of "freedom fighters" or "liberators". If my country were invaded, I'd definetely be an insurgent.

Every attacking country considers insurgents as terrorists.
