Im starting a new herb garden for fall and overwintering in the Bay Area. So I picked up two identical preplanted pots because they had mint and thyme, both on my shopping list. I thought they had tarragon as the third plant. (I've never had whole leaf tarragon, quit laughing) Nope. Stevia! :2thumbsup: So send your good growing energy to my new babies!
Sending energies your way! I've always wanted an herb garden but am just not learning to grow flowers and basic tomato plants! Good luck, I'm a little jelly!
I'm container gardening for now. Was given a Meyer lemon as a gift this week. That might, might, probably won't, make up for leaving snow and seasons.
Speaking of tarragon, do NOT buy "tarragon seeds". They are from "Russian Tarragon" - nice plant but no flavor. "French Tarragon" [aka real tarragon] is sterile and can only be propagated from cuttings. Peace, poor_old_dad
Good to know, POD. The stevia tried to die, I neglected it all winter (ie, rainy season) and noticed one small leaf a month ago. I cut back the dried stems to the soil level. It's four inches high and a thick rosette of very tasty, very sweet leaves.
*sends energies* *pew pew pew* blessed be I'm going to try some herbs in pots! I don't get very much light thought!
