My barefoot Saturday, not really been too active so thought I'd share my barefoot day on Saturday. It started in the morning with a quick dog walk to the local park about a 1 mile round trip, the cool grass felt lovely under my bare soles first thing in the morning. Nice refreshing start to the day. Back home and a couple of hours later it was time to go to the supermarket, I headed out the door without even a moment thought about my shoes and got into my car then drove barefoot to the supermarket. I walked upto the trolley station and inserted my pound for a trolley (got to be careful not to run over my toes) then into the store and straight in the fruit section, overall the trip was uneventful but got some good dirt on the soles. Then came the second dog walk of the day a nice stroll down a local woodland trail. I love the feeling of cool dirt, moist leaves and snapping twigs under my bare soles. This was a walk before heading into the city. I decided to catch the train so I left the house and started walking to the station. At the station I got a few looks but nothing was said. I boarded the train and went into the city. I walked around the city barefoot in and out of shops, a couple of pubs and a restaurant I had met up with a couple of friends all shod but they accepted my bare feet. As the day went on the man made tarmac ground was tough on my feet but I survived. Catching the train home and walking home in the evening was a little difficult since my feet ached from walking over tarmac most of the day with a few short stints in between on stone, concrete and tile. Overall a great day without needing of shoes
That’s so awesome I love walking barefoot in the grass in the morning the wet grass feels so good under my bare feet. I remember the first time I walked 12 miles on a paved bike trail close to my house. People walk on the trail to it was me and three of my friends that were shoed and the trail go’s up hil and down hill and flat . We walked 6 miles one way then back to where we parked 6 miles back . My friends were so amazed that I could walk that far in bare feet and it was hot that day . The next day my bare feet were a little bit sore but we went walking again the next day and after that my bare feet were not sore anymore. So I know how you feel. But now I can walk in any terrain in bare feet .
