Just wondering how expensive it is in Morocco, how much is it to stay in a hostel for one night and what's the average cost of a cheap meal? Any info much appreciated!
i'm a moroccan, i can tell u what u want about my country look at this website first, it's for the moroccan tourism. http://www.tourism-in-morocco.com/index_en.php
Moroccan foods are inexpensive and delicious.. There are a number of acommodation options in the country so a trip there cannot make your broke.
i was watching the food network with my dad earlier and they were showing moroccan food, oh man i loooove moroccan food i want to spend some time there i am planning to spend some time in the south of france, spain and the mediterranean thank you for those sites!
after drifting around w. europe for 3 months and spending quite a bit of time in france, morocco was a welcome change. we ate well (veggie options are delish - couscous and steamed veggies are plentiful there, lol)... for about 3 euro a person. i think the most i paid for a meal in marrakech was 6 euro (approx. 70 dirham)... we found a great deal for a hostel too, and it was right amidst the souks in the medina. we had a room for 4, and paid about 9 euro each, per night since the room was 40 euro a night. it was fantastic! if you do end up going, be cautious that the "addition" (the bill) is added correctly, we had many run-ins with people trying to rip us off if we didn't do the math right! also, it's cheaper to eat in the djamma el fna square after about 8 pm...it turns into a restaurant of epic proportions. all in all, morocco was fairly inexpensive, in comparison to some other place in europe. enjoy your time there, it has lots to offer!
I started out a trip in Morocco with a tight budget. I'm telling you, you shouldn't worry about going there because cheap food and accomodations are everywhere!
From my experiences in Morocco, only the hash dealers seemed to be a little perverse. (Btw, they are everywhere) We were able to get a hotel in the center of Marrakech for $30 a night, and from what locals told me it can get even cheaper. $10 can get 2 people really good meals.
Im going to morocco on the second of august for a month, wondering how much spending money I will need, bearing in mind im not afraid to slum it abit hehe. Also we will be camping whenever possible... Does anyone know how much transport is? I cant wait! Should be an amazing couple of weeks =)
Morocco got quiet expensive in the last ten years, because it's a hotspot to invest and live but it's still cheaper if you compare it to europe and other places. btw, I just started a forum about Morocco called gomorocco.com a travel guide to Morocco. you all guys are welcome to my new venture. thank you
Five great reasons to visit Morocco: - To know the good people. - To have a time to see a simple and happy life. - To forget stress and busy places. - To understand, that there is no difference between Arabic people and European’s people. - To explore the imperial cities and the high atlas mountains have a lock at: http://www.voyageaumaroc.net :sunny: :sunny:
