marijuana is gonna be legal!

i was watching the news this morning and they said that in 2010 that marijuana is gonna be legal and you could go into a store and buy sum weed like a pack of cigs

The question is why is it illegal and criminalized?

1. conservatives and conservative provinces like Alberta
2. lack of education and information
3. America's influence and pressure

Many people just know it as bad, but cannot explain why. Even I once a victim of this, but through learning I learned this drug isn't so bad if used properly and responsibly, it is like any other drug you can abuse it or used well.
