You get it almost exactly. Except i don't pretend while I'm with people. I think I tend to feel too much and hold back, just because it would be so weird. But I very much understand the 'feeling lonely even with people around;' and back into inner thoughts... I'm there with you on that.

It's a little hard to explain: I feel like I have so much love in me to pour out, and nowhere to pour..., that's the closest I could equate.

Edit:as for the OP whenever i feel lonely i just think about the last person to annoy me and then im glad there is nobody annoying me.

dont get me wrong im sure my dad got crabs but thats not what he is.

Try getting HBO and watching all the series...... it really helps me pass the time. Also, internet is a life saver- facebook really helps!

 

Back when i was in school if you said you had HBO all the kids would say "you have Horrible Body Odor?"

 

It's a slow moving forum, a bit hard to get used to.

BUT... the chat room is usually really quick paced - that's a good place to go

 

If I'm not, I should be, and if I am, I better get used to it.

 

Well I live at a place with a Roommate, House Mates, and Neighbors. -- For me, there's probably always someone to hang out with.

When I'm a lone and mostly just watching TV Show or movies I know drinking makes the day seem to go by faster.

I suppose one way you can stop being so lonely is to try to make a friend or more. If you have family around that aren't in your life now, maybe you could try hanging out with some of them. (???)

Of course there's the internet too.

Another thing that may make a difference is becoming a regular somewhere where you like at least one employee. (That's one thing Jack Nicholous's character did in "As Good As it Gets".

If none of theses or the ideas of others don't work or when they are "still in the works" you could try getting better and more content with being alone.
