For the past few years I have modeled for a couple of groups in open studios. The sessions for both groups are three hours and I start by doing several gesture poses of a couple of minutes, before moving on to poses of 5, 10 and finally 25 minutes. On a few occasions I've said to the groups that I'm open to any suggestions they might have, but no one ever offers any suggestions or feedback. I often wonder if the artists would like me to use more props. The only prop I have used so far has been a stick of about 5 feet in length. I'm a juggler and have often wondered if I used balls or clubs as props if the artists would like that or find those things to be a distraction. I'd appreciate hearing thoughts from artists or other models here. Thanks.

A realistic looking replica human skull is good, working as a memento mori, which is a symbol of mortality.
