Jefferson Airplane

Jefferson Airplane is such a awesome band... Probably one of the most psychedelic. And anyone else Grace Slick WAS hot???

I also like Blue Cheer and the Pretty Things a lot too... anyone heard of them?

 

Jefferson Airplane is my favorite psychedelic rock band. Grace was BEAUTIFUL. I would of LOVED to be her. Her voice was mind numbing - in a good way.

i have to say that grace is one of my favorite singers. i once knew someone in my hometown who wrote for them. i like her kick-ass attitude--i recall reading in the paper about grace racing around a parking lot with a fifth of jack daniels in her hand , trying to run people down. she didn't hit anyone, but it was funny

 

grace was hot...she's now doing paintings. her mind is still 'hot'....but odd, as it always was. she's got some paintings on the net:

kaukonen and casady have revived hot tuna. i haven't heard the newest stuff, but their acoustic album is a favorite of mine.

I first heard White Rabbit in middle-school when a boy came to our school from Liverpool, he would sit in the playground playing Hendrix tunes on his guitar that he had decorated with "Make Love Not War" and other sketches he'd drawn, including Hendrix's signature which he had mastered and put on his guitar. To this day he's my closest friend. He got everybody into Hendrix, bar me, we used to have games to see who could name the most of his songs. I always won He told me about White Rabbit and tried to play Somebody To Love on his guitar, I went home and found a video on Youtube. I was set.

The Jefferson Airplane are in my top five for sure! I met Jack and Jorma at a music festival about six years ago. I've always had a bit of a fourth dimentional crush on Grace.

jefferson airplanes awesome, very original music. I haven't made it to their other albums yet (I take it slowly with music), but surrealistic pillow is amazing
