Empty Drinkers Be grateful for what's missing, For if the glass were not half empty, You would still be thirsty. While, if it were still full, You would be empty! If the glass, were only half full, The bartender has ripped you off! Ask not, what a drink can do for you, But, can you possibly accommodate yet another drink? Remembering, the ground is always there to catch you, And, to avoid drinking any salt-water, piss, and vinegar!
I Only Half Filled It In The First Place......So Where Does That Leave Little Olde Moi...???....... Cheers Glen.
Maybe It's Time To "Step Up To The Plate".......And Graduate To Being A "Full Fool"...... Just A Thought...... Cheers Glen.
If you cannot embrace the darkness, then you do not comprehend the light. The shadow remains but the memory of the eternal light, and it is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness by the light of the crescent moon. To stay positive, remember to light a candle, and which end is hot.
It depends on what you mean by 'half empty'. Because, a glass is always full of something, whether it's air or some other gas or chemical. Now, if you filled it half full of some liquid, the glass would still be full, as there would be air molecules filling the glass. If you were to fill the glass half full and put it in a total vacuum, the water would just boil out. And since even a 'complete' vacuum has some molecules floating around, I don't think you could ever get an empty glass to begin with.
For me, it can change. If I’m feeling down, the glass is nearly empty. If I’m feeling positive about something, I see it as half full. I also look at it as a present moment thing. If you are grateful for what you have, the glass is half full. If you aren’t, and also thinking the grass is greener elsewhere, then it’s likely going to seem half empty.
I believe we must conduct scientific observations, first draining the glass half way, and reassessing how we feel.
