French would be somehwat useful to me. Buuuut I just can't find enough will in me to start with it. Does someone here speak French? I find it a bit intimidating...Like I wouldn't make much progress no matter how hard I tried xD
just out of curiosity about a fellow European.... What languages do you speak? Are you learning any atm?

So whats the point I can order a beer and say thank you in a Few languages but thats it Closest I ever Got to be able to have a conversation was in Polish but I forget most of what I learned ! Oh and I can still order a Drink in Chinese Lol
I am for the most part interested in the Romance languages those being French,Italian and Spanish. They are the countries I am most interested in visiting because of the art, literature and cinema.I was in France in September, near Toulouse and got to speak a little French with some of my uncle's friends.I think it is really the most beautiful language with Italian being a close second.
Technically one is never "done" with any language. Even older native speakers of any language never quite finish learning it as connotations change even within a single lifetime, but to say that because one is not an absolute "expert" in a language means one has not learned it is also incorrect as that definition would leave majority of the world without a language. The general definition, as far as learning languages go, is if you can speak, read, and write(even writing it was unnecessary for the most part of human history) the vast majority of it, understand the grammar and rules, you know the language.
Dutch and english. Not busy learning other languages now. I had german and french for 4 years but can't speak neither well.
I like to learn Russian . what language would be more difficult for native English speaker ? I think it is Arabic , isn't it?
Hey! I have slacked off the last few weeks, i started to get discouraged with various verb tenses, the app i was using (Duolingo) isnt very effective for learning verb conjugation. But I did find out the local community college here does offer italian classes so I think i'll enroll this summer.
Sad to say, I was one of those kids who struggled with other languages... totally right brained and couldnt switch to left. I would like to learn mi'kmah & Scottish Gaelic, first, then Khoekhoe Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, and German and Dutch. . But I am not imagining much success with this. I struggled with French in school which was manditory. Languages Is a left brain thing. I grasped one language... I would need immersion to grasp a language, looks like I have a lot of travelling to do.
French..such a sexy language. Also i'd love to to be able to speak Latin..not that it's useful for anything.
