I tried to read it everyday....usually I ended up sleeping with it everyday! And now I end up sleeping with it....and a Catholic prayer book and a cathechism and a RCIA book....hurts when I roll over....
Reading the Bible per reading God's word is a reading for the sign of the Times to me. As an indulgence it means reading certain scriptures repetitively from mere sensual appreciation. However, I am a scientist and I snob that issue of improving on merely talents. The skill for reading the bible is always by immediately the greater Master.
Some funny haha's here, my neighbor has been glued to it for years, and when she talks to me, "says I will burn" as I don't believe. I avoid her a lot and our doors to our apts are 7'ft apart....too bad...
It's unfortunate that she says that. Jesus didn't go around saying,"Believe in Me or you will go to He'll" What He DID say was that anyone who believed in Him would have life everlasting. Maybe next time she says you'll burn, you could point that out
