I met a guy :) but we are both shy! advice?

he is a friend of a friend, i first met him a year ago, then again in june and then again yesterday, when i first met him he told the mutual friend that he liked me, but i thought i was gay so, yh i know big mistake.

anyway, i do actually really like him and he still likes me, when we were hanging out at the mutual friends house we were left alone (the mutual friend and her friend were match making like mad ) and he asked me out (ive never been formally asked out before ) and i said yes, but then after that, we were both really shy (both cancerians you see) but we know that we both like each other and want something from it, i made a joke about us being shy and we both laughed.

the mutual friend said he rarely makes the first move (im the same), we had an almost awkward goodbye, i didnt know if he wanted to kiss me so i gave him a hug and he kissed my cheek and i kissed his, we smiled and said we will talk very soon.

now im waiting for him to come online and we talk well on msn, but im nervous, i think this could be something special so i dont want to mess it up.

any advice? how does it work between two people who are really really shy but both want something?

Honeybunch, you're going to be fine. You're past the second-most terrifying part (the asking out part) and now all you have to do is get past that first kiss and you're home free. I'm willing to bet a million dollars that the next time you see him (outside of school or whatever) you'll end up kissing.

But you know what would totally make that 100%? When you talk to him on MSN, say something along the lines of "I really wanted to kiss you but I was too shy." If he doesn't say that himself.

i am always bad at goodbyes and hellos with people anyway, do i kiss on the cheek?? how many times? or shake hands? what do i do!

but anyway, i was very scared about kissing him because it didnt feel right at the time, everything happens for a reason. we dont go to the same school, but the mutual friend has been brilliant.

well, i just had a long chat with him on msn, a really great chat

we are meeting up on saturday, we both know we really like each other, we know we have the shyness problem, but we know the shyness is meaningless.

he said somethings to me that, just made my heart fly.
