I remember getting our first phone, before there were 4 tracks, and we didn't have a TV.

Stargate Sg-1 first aired 20 years ago, pilot ran in july '97

Now heres one I actually would have thought its been way longer than that

Ran 10 seasons, finished in 2007, feels like way longer than 10 yrs since it finished

The theatrical release of movie Stargate was back in 1994 which is why it seems so much earlier.

I have all 10 seasons on DVD and now I’m watching the first season of Stargate Universe, it’s surprisingly good for a series that was so short-lived

Yeah, there arent any villans in it though, no aliens.

Well theres one group of aliens you see in about two eps, but thats it.

A fatal flaw, many fans didnt get it at the time, myself included.

Some good characters, but you need alien bad guys in a sci fi show

Yeah, human infighting can only hold your attention just so long in a sci-fi series even when taken to the extreme like attempted murder, suicide, and sedition
