How is 'The Hunger Games'?

    ^ the question of whether or not a warrior princess cliche exists generally (and you seem to be claiming it does not exist) is apart from the question of the presence of such a cliche in "the hunger games"

    if you claim its non-existence in "the hunger games" only, I can only counter that the promotional material (for the movie at least) does promote that cliche. you might have a basis for your assertion in the particular case, but I'm suspicious

    Ah I was only referring to the cliche not being present in the hunger games. I agree with you about it being a very overly used cliche though. and yes I can see where the promotional commercials could give that impression.

    I enjoyed the trilogy a lot...very politically charged, entertaining as well, with a strong female protagonist. Read them.
