    Seriously though. Imgur has a camp thingy. Why can't we have a camp thingy?

    Or is that just asking for disaster all around?

    I'd like to think most of us would get along if we were in the same room together.

    I've met Balbus several times, in London and when he and his wife visited me in California. He's actually a very friendly and astute dude.

    I got to read a political fiction book he was going to get published.

    I also met Davey, an artist from Manchester, who did the Hengeneering website (about stonehenge and others) which we still host on this server.

    I think that's all so far...

    Never go to a "Hipforums meetup" unless we authorize it.

    This happened as well on another website I manage (an unauthorized meetup in Las Vegas) and it also turned out badly and caused a ruckus on that website afterwards with people accusing others of ripping off people at the event.

    I still can't get this quote thing to work, Skip.

    But, you said never go to a Hipforums meetup unless we authorize it. That sounds like an excellent plan. There isn't enough time to adequately plan something for this year. I have a lot of farm work left to finish up the growing season, too. So, I really don't have the time right now.

    But, next year.. with proper planning and your okay.. I'd love to host something. We have 49 acres of mostly wooded land. The neighbors, what few we have, live far enough away to not be bothered by a gathering. In addition to the house, we have an RV spot with full hookups and plenty of places for people to camp out. We could probably handle 30 or 40 people with no problem.

    We'll see what the year brings.

    tiger lily and Dangermoose are still together!

    I met someone and got them into a show years ago.
    Oh, one member moved to my "second home" and we saw each other at shows for a few years.

    I'm on a hair forum, and one of those members called me by this name at an LHC meet, which felt creepy.
    I had to explain what he was talking about.
    Back in the early 2000s, I met one of our Deaf members.

    So, I think I've met four.
    I tried to instigate a meet with the Rev, but he works too damn much.
