The police dropped the investigation into Feldmans claims seemingly in under a week. Statutes and zero evidence. Feldman now says on twiitter crowd funding $12 million bucks for a movie to 'do it his way" is the only way. Mmmmmm hmmmm. Im guessing that includes an $11 million dollar commision.

Louis C.K is just a sad, depressed, pathetic man. Anyone who has ever watched his shows and stand up knows this. I'm not a bit surprised to learn he has a bad habit of asking women to masturbate in front of them, he just seems like that type of weirdo

I've always liked his stand up and his shows though, he's a pretty good comedian but obviously draws his material from a dark, lonely, weird place

Damn, you're right. Who does that? Ew. Why would you assume that someone would want to watch you masturbate, anyway? What the fuck? He must have gotten a serious thrill just from asking girls to watch it.

There was a short time I thought he had talent as a comedian. But he went for the "serious message" type comedy and his show sank fast. People don't usually want comedy for a sober message, we want to laugh our asses off and forget about serious shit for a while. We want a break from the drudgery.

This segment of his show brought me down a peg since I happen to prefer larger women

Never liked Kevin Spacey or Louis C.K. Now I know why...

The only time I saw anything by Louis C.K. was on Saturday Night Live a while ago...didn't think he was funny at all. And Spacey was just creepy in American Beauty.

That's actually kind of weird. Especially with the claims that are a decade+ old, where zero actual evidence exists. So far it's all just allegations that any of these guys should have been able to deny flatly. Only, they didn't.

It has a strange kind of Duke Lacrosse feel to it. The assumption instantly was that they are guilty, sure, that's usually the case when a man is accused of just about any infraction against someone either on a lower tier or in a sexually suggestive posture. After all, when a guy hits 45 he is officially a "dirty old man" for most of the rest of his life. Any 45+ guy who says something nice about a woman is instantly assumed to be on the prowl.

I forget the name, but one of the guys did deny it and even Limbaugh explained why. The guy had high blood pressure, was a diabetic and was like 350lbs, so the chances he could get it up, even with a Viagra IV, were slim to none. However, I realize performance is not a measure of harassment, intent is. And lots of Americans have a bigger appetite than they can actually manage.

Still, most of these claims are based entirely on circumstantial "evidence" with no real proof at all. So why are all these guys caving in?

Man... not Louis C. K...! I actually find him one of the better american comedians currently. And you can't masturbate in your own hotel room/dressing room because some female fans (edit: or collegues) followed you.. since when?
Ok, I get the inappropriate part just fine there ;) but no, he does not fit in this thread because of it!
Anyway, his soap on Comedy central was hilarious at times. But besides how good he is at his job or not (Spacey is a fine actor as well, i think we don't have to lie about that), his career shouldn't be ruined because of this #metoo drama. It's a different degree of sexual intimidation than Spacey's.

I don't mean to excuse real sexual predators, or perpetrators of actual sexual crimes, be they men in powerful positions or lone opportunists. But there was a time when it was acceptable for a man to "Make a pass" at a Woman. In an appropriate moment, the man could lean in to kiss, or put an arm around the female. She could either accept, this being an invite to further intimacy, or refuse, upon which the man would withdraw. This is well documented in hundreds of romantic movies from the very inception of cinema. Today however this has all changed. New fine lines have been drawn, and I'm not surprised if this leaves many men feeling confused, and at worst betrayed by human sexual instincts and the libidinal order. The established hierarchy of sexual relations has shifted dramatically since the 1950s, and it is taking some time for a lot of men to keep in step. There are also moments of passion, documented from time immemorial, from the myths of the Greek Gods onwards, where reason gives way to unstoppable desire, and a grey zone between consent and a ravishing force of nature that is at the very heart of human sexual nature comes into being. I am a feminist, in favour of equality of the sexes, but I think we need a grown up public discussion about the new sexual climate, and what is deemed an acceptable signal of attraction and display from a man towards a Woman and what is clearly culpable sexual assault.

A mere accusation of sexual misconduct can ruin a man's career and life. I truly believe in innocent until proven guilty. A few published hit-pieces can go viral in the media very quickly. Now I'm obviously not saying that sexual assault should not be taken seriously. But the hysteria that follows afterward can have great lasting damage, even to the innocent. I find it scary that 3rd wave propagandists are saying that all women who report this must be believed. If everyone who reports a sexual assault is believed before an actual trial takes place, then thousands of careers would be destroyed with one quick jab.

Obviously due process should be followed

But I do think it is disturbing that 30 women can come forward with the same story and there are people who would believe one man over 30 women.
Like, 30 women dont get together and conspire how to ruin an innocent man's life. That just doesnt happen.

I'm expecting the next shoe to fall is the music industry.

Just imagine all those groupies who got groped back in the 60's and 70's and beyond.

Olympian Aly Raisman, the two-time captain of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team, is now coming forward about sexual abuse from her former doctor, Dr. Larry Nassar.

More than 130 different people have accused Nassar of abuse, so I think we can say there is no conspiracy afoot to destroy the Dr's reputation, since he’s currently serving time in jail for possessing Child Pornography

This really hits home for me because Aly lives in the next town over, and practices in a gym near my home.

Matt Lauer is gone from the Today show...NBC fired him overnight due to allegations of inappropriate behavior in the workplace. So who do you think will be next?
