I guess when assaulted men find enough courage to speak up. It's tougher for men to admit they were assaulted.
Agree. When articles come out in the media here in the US about female teachers having sex with underage students, they rarely serve jail time, as compared to their male peers who commit the same crime. It’s changing but slowly. And when men are abused in relationships and call the police, they are often not taken seriously...like they should “suck it up.” Look at movies showing women kicking men’s assess literally and the men cowering down. It’s time for a culture change.
Actually there is a recent story. Harvey Weinstein, through his lawyer, responded to a New York Times report that one of his accusers, Asia Argento, allegedly paid off her own sexual assault accuser after coming forward with her rape claim against Harvey. Weinstein lawyer Ben Brafman said Monday in a statement "at the very same time Asia Argento was working on her own secret settlement for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor, she was positioning herself at the forefront of those condemning Mr. Weinstein.
