One of the better books that I have found to read to my kids, who range from 2 - 8, is Tales of Tinker's Tails by Peggy Howell. I bought this book a year or so ago, but haven't been able to find it anywhere anymore. Maybe ebay. This book is filled cover to cover with these amazing animal portraits that my kids love. The stories are funny, my kids love em. Tales of Tinker Tails by Peggy Howell and Toreen West. A must buy:sunny:

My friend actually wrote and illustrated her own childrens book. Even though its not out till June, I think you'll find her illustrations amazing. The book is called Buttons, Kings, and Strange Little Things. It's a compilation of 6 short stories all in rhyme, all the characters are some what inter connected because they all live in the same forest. Anyway she was funded through kickstarter. If you don't know what kickstarter.com is check it out its just an amazing site for crowd funding. Her site for the book is bkslt.com.. I one thing I like about this book is the size the pages are so big that the kids really seem to like it.

There is a new children's book out called Percy the Goose that wanted to be an Ostrich. It is Christian in nature, Helping children to deal with some of the issues they face today. Like Bullying, and being different. It is interactive so the children can really get involved in the story and learn to express things that may be going on in their lives that their parents need to know about. There are also pages for them to draw characters from the story. It is told by the animals on the farm. You can check it out on Amazon.com, and xulonpress.com/bookstore.

I like children's books that can range from MANY ages. This one is one of my ABSOLUTE favorites! It has SIMPLE dialogue that little kids can follow, color learning, and problem solving, as well as real educational tidbits that make it fun to learn!! It's only 99 cents!

    Anything by David Walliams!

His books are funny to any age, adults also!

Making a book interesting to a child, is all down to how you read them!

Emotions, funny faces, even scared faces, they look at you whilst your reading, that's how they get it, not the words!

"Tailchaser's Song" by Tad Williams. It's about cats, but they are personified. It's really good. I loved it when I was young.

I actually have a stack of children's books to read while I am on vacation. Of course, they are all for school/work.

The One and Only Ivan is suppose to be a great book-recommended by my former students and colleagues.

Wonder is a great ages 8 and up book.

    I am a sap, I cry a lot of children's books.

Roahl Dahl books are so fun to read aloud to kids. I'd start with the BFG.
