Apparently there’s a new thing called Forest Therapy. Where it involves walking, relaxing, and existing amongst the trees. It is inspired by the Japanese practice if Shinrin, which means ‘forest bathing.’

I think it's a very good idea. Getting away from the built environment and being amongst nature as we were evolved to be. I always find it relaxing to walk in the woods.

It is therapeutic, I feel most alive and happy in the trees :)
I say, whatever label needs to be put there to get people to stop sitting inside on their asses every day is a good thing.

Damn I was considering it but it doesn't appear there are any flights that connect to that island for me. I was going to go to their workshop, tuition is only $500 and the flight to BC is about $300. But then I'd have to consider getting to that island and food and lodging and what not.

Too bad, I had set my upper limit at $800 to go fly to a forest and have other people tell me how to enjoy it.

It's a real thing if you bother to let it affect you. All about the energy levels.

You could just go camping in a forest in the US for the cost of gas and maybe a camping permit if required

The tuition for the course is $495! Lodging not included

    Workshops and Retreats

I'm sure there's cheaper ways to get your nature therapy

there are. if you live in a very small town, just start walking. if you live where there's a bus or other public transit, ride that to as close to the edge of town as you can get, and then start walking.
it isn't always, but its usually possible to find some place.

Have you ever considered leading beach therapy sessions and charging people a half Grand for it?

Guerrillabedlam is asking if you'd start a beach therapy retreat program, and charge people money for it. Just like the forest therapy hippy organizers have done.
